Apparently there was an issue with students being out of bounds during last month's Hogsmeade visit, so everyone is reminded that outside of the school grounds, the village and the path there and back are the only places we are allowed to congregate, even for those of age. Stay warm this weekend!

I'm so excited for the ball this Thursday. We've been planning for weeks, and I can't wait to see everything once it's done. If everything goes according to our plans, the whole thing will be simply divine. I hope no one decides to miss out on our hard work, Piper. |

Finally! I've been petitioning the Headmistress for something like this for years, and I can't wait to get started on it. Although now that we actually have something to wear costumes to, I'll have to put extra consideration into mine.

My horoscope for this week is promising. Basically I should work hard this week and it will pay off, and then next weekend will be fun and relaxing with friends. I just need to be careful about burning myself out near the end of the week even if I still feel like I can do everything quickly. I think that's good advice all the time anyway though, don't you?

You guys are just the sweetest! I woke up this morning to three owls, which I wasn't expecting. My parents I expected, but not until breakfast. My dad must have sent it while I was sleeping, and then a couple from friends. At the risk of sounding spoiled, I've never minded spending my birthday at school.

If I wasn't so excited to go back for my final year, coming back to England would have been such a drag. Going into London used to be the highlight of my day, but after spending time on a dragon reservation, nothing really compares, does it? |
